1. To perform validation testing with the Validation Suite, the user launches the Phoenix WinNonlin test package, which consists of dozens of automated test scripts.
2. All of the test scripts can be run in one execution of the Validation Suite, or users can create, save, and reuse custom test plans by selecting which of the provided test scripts will be executed at one time. Saved test plans can be run in groups. Because running the full set of validation tests can take up to 30 hours depending on the speed of the test machine, test plans can be used to break up the full suite of tests into smaller pieces.
3. After a test run is complete, a summary of the validation results is displayed in the Phoenix WNL Validation Suite Results tab. A log file is also written in the output directory. Each individual test, each test set, and the status of each test are listed in the Results tab. Color-coded records of specific validation events, each one containing a screenshot of the user interface as it looked at that point in the test cycle are recorded in the log.
4. The Phoenix WinNonlin Validation Suite generates a Run Report in Microsoft Word. This report summarizes which test scripts were run, including a description of each, and the success or failure of each.
5. The Image Comparer provides users with the ability to manually compare a pair of images and mark that pair as dissimilar if image content does not match. The Image Comparer allows users to view a fixed set of validation point images, taken as screenshots, against a library of reference images, which are also screenshots.
