Bayesian Exposure-Response Modeling
(2-day course, lecture and computer-based lab)
This course provides an introduction to Bayesian modeling and the practical
use of WinBUGS software for PK/PD applications. It is intended for scientists
with a background in PK/PD modeling and some familiarity with nonlinear
regression, mixed-effects modeling, and S-PLUS®. Topics include: Bayesian
modeling and inference process, practical implications of probability
and likelihood, Bayesian PK/PD model development using WinBUGS, Markov
Chain Monte Carlo simulation, meta-regression of summary statistics from
multiple trials, Bayesian hierarchical models, population PK analysis,
and adaptive trial design.
